About Evelyn Hernandez

Evelyn Hernandez (@evelyn.dez) is a Mexican- American ceramic sculptor and instructor from Los Angeles who primarily uses recycled and locally foraged clays.

Her work focuses on the connections between people, spaces, and nature. Continuously weaving together her experiences to reflect on ideas of ecology, equity, and identity.

Objective

Guests will join Evelyn Hernandez, on a short hike and witness first-hand her fascinating process of discovering and extracting natural clay and pigments right from the heart of the land.

This immersive experience offers each participant a unique opportunity to jump into the world of pottery. Equipped with all the necessary tools, you'll get to mold and shape your very own clay sculptures using the finest local clays.
