Incense Workshop – Hyungi Park

Experience the art and tradition of incense-making.

Participants in this workshop will delve into the rich history of incense, exploring its cultural significance and use in rituals, meditation, and daily life across different traditions. They’ll gain insights into the various types of incense, such as cones, sticks, and loose blends, as well as the unique purposes each type serves—from enhancing relaxation to creating a sacred space.
The hands-on portion of the workshop guides attendees through the process of crafting natural incense by hand. Using high-quality, sustainably sourced ingredients such as herbs, resins, and essential oils, they’ll mix, shape, and form their own batch of incense. Each participant will create approximately 10 one-inch cones, perfect for personal use or as thoughtful, handmade gifts.
The workshop includes all materials needed for the process, ensuring a seamless and creative experience. Additionally, attendees will receive an informational zine, packed with tips, recipes, and guidance for experimenting further at home, making the workshop both educational and memorable.
