About
Andrea Jimenez founded Herb Club LA to get locals to connect with the land in a truly personal way. It was in her field biology class where Andrea had the opportunity to become a certified Naturalist after learning about the native flora and fauna of Tongva land also known as Los Angeles. This opened a whole new world of understanding between our health and connecting to mother nature. It wasn’t again until the lockdown where she found reassurance that deepening our connection to mother nature was truly important and finally mustered the courage to invite others to reconnect with the land and its creatures.

What's Included
This workshop begins with a grounding meditation, enhanced by a calming tea ritual using local or thoughtfully sourced botanicals. Participants will be guided through practices to connect with the present moment and align with the natural environment.
Following the meditation, the workshop dives into an engaging exploration of the surrounding landscape, offering in-depth knowledge about the local flora, its ecological significance, and any traditional uses or cultural stories tied to the plants. This segment fosters a deeper appreciation of the natural world and equips participants with observational skills.
The session concludes with a creative exercise on how to start a personal Field Guide. Participants will learn the fundamentals of documenting their outdoor experiences, including sketching, note-taking, plant identification, and storytelling. The goal is to inspire attendees to cultivate a personal relationship with nature and create a lasting record of their explorations.
