Francis River is a farmer, educator, and advocate for building communities and friendship. He works fluidly across a wide variety of sustainable practices, growing food, making clothes, pottery, and landscape design. He is currently the farm manager at GrowGood Urban Farm, a 1.5 acre organic farm that supports the Bell Homeless Shelter, and co-founder of My Friends Farm, a small-scale urban farm that focuses on building radical, transformative and supportive friendships by providing food and resources for the Los Angeles community.
