Here at Willowbrook, we celebrate every aspect of our heirloom apple trees, signature crop; from the sapling to the tree, the fruit, and the final stage -cider!

Objective

We are excited to invite participants to experience the seasonal charm and rich apple-growing heritage of Willowbrook Farm in Oak Glen, CA. This event offers an opportunity to immerse in nature, explore the serene orchards and natural landscapes, and celebrate every stage of the heirloom apple journey—from tree to cider.

Through guided exploration, fireside gatherings, and hands-on cider pressing, attendees will enjoy a true escape into the mountain air, connecting with nature and each other in a peaceful, historic setting.

What's included

  • Farm Exploration Tour: Begin with a short guided tour of Willowbrook Farm, where you’ll get to learn about the farm’s history, its century-old heirloom apple trees, and the unique apple-growing traditions of Oak Glen.
  • Hands-On Cider Pressing: This hands-on activity lets you enjoy every step of the cider-making process.
  • Fireside Gathering: Share cider, stories, and s'mores whiles enjoy the quiet mountain atmosphere with other attendees.

What to bring

  • Outdoor Attire: Dress comfortably for the farm setting. We recommend warm layers to adjust for changing temperatures throughout the day.
  • Personal Water Bottle: Stay hydrated while exploring and pressing cider. Water stations will be available for refills.
  • Sun Protection: Bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to stay protected during the day.
