About Allie Brown

Allie Brown (she/they) is a multidisciplinary healer with roots in Health Equity and Social Justice stemming from Oakland and Berkeley, CA. Allie infuses activism into her wellness work, by centering marginalized communities at the forefront. She specializes in Sound, Reiki, Herbal Medicine and Meditation. With clients like Spotify, BLM, Paramount Pictures, and the ACLU, she brings a holistic approach to corporate and community wellness.

Educated at Occidental College with a focus on Environmental and Reproductive justice, Allie's fieldwork spans from Food Justice in Oaxaca, Mexico to researching the adverse health implications of beauty/self-care products on the reproductive health of Black people and Women in South LA.

Believing that the body is a reflection of and affected by our external environment, she pursued a career in the healing arts--exploring Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Reiki, and more. Recently, Allie completed her Masters of Science Degree in Traditional Chinese (East Asian) Medicine from Emperor's College and is on the path to board certification as a licensed Acupuncturist. She’s committed to guiding individuals through their healing journeys with a range of integrative health services.

Objective

Join us for an immersive evening of making herbal elixirs for the body, soul and home. All blends enhance your connection with your body + spirit. We will feature herbs that support the natural rhythm of our bodies during the Spring season, support a balanced nervous system and reduce stress.

During this Herbal Medicine Making workshop we will blend a variety of herbs into a multipurpose Herbal Oil, Aromatherapy Spray and Medicinal Herbal Tea Infusion.

In Chinese Medicine, the energy of Spring is represented by the element and movement of Wood. Wood expresses itself through the downward push of roots sinking deep into the soil + the vertical thrust of plants that shoot upwards towards the sun.

The time to bloom is Spring.
