Learn the most addictive foods in Cuban and Caribbean cuisine, the pastelitos! In this class you will learn from a demo on how to make sofrito, the base of most Cuban and Caribbean dishes using the trinity, onions, garlic, and bell peppers to make plant based picadillo to fill our pastelitos de carne, or ‘Meat Pies’. As a collective, we will make sofrito, picadillo, meat pies, and guava cheese pastelitos. We will also learn different techniques for meat alternatives like jackfruit and dehydrated plants.

This class is both demo based and interactive, so come prepared to chop, squeeze, cut pastry dough, and enjoy some of the most nostalgic Cuban food there is!
