This intro to fly fishing class provides a foundation for fishing both streams and lakes, and is taught with the hopes of applying the newly learned skills in the field at a later date. We will cover the basics of fly rods, knot tying, dry flies, trout identification, reading water, and casting techniques. Participants will have the opportunity to try both classic rod & reel setups as well as minimalist tenkara setup (no reel). This workshop is a pre-requisite to our Fly Fishing Field Day and Fly Fishing Camp Trips.
Official meet-up location, specific lesson timing, and further event details to be sent out upon ticket confirmation. There will be two time slots: 9:00AM - 12:00 PM & 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM Upon ticket confirmation, you may choose your preferred timing (NOTE: Please be aware that your desired class time might not be available, as slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.)
