About Dakota Stroud

Dakota is an indigenous artist and host who believes in cultivating soft spaces for community care. With a background in psychology, Cherokee rituals and storytelling, Dakota started Killing Thyme as a way to bring people together for a chance to slow down and exist together with intention

Objective

Join Killing Thyme for a very special tea ceremony and nature walk. Guests will meet for a light hike up to the Brand family cemetery for a tea ceremony. Over the course of the ceremony, Dakota will guide guests through sacred rituals intended to cultivate a deeper connection to the self, the earth, and those around them, some of which include: building an outdoor altar, a personal dedication, ceremonial tea, a letting go meditation and intention setting exercise. Guests do not need any prior experience to participate. All that is required at Killing Thyme is a readiness to lean in, willingness to listen with an open heart, and a desire to let go and evolve.
