About Michael Lombardo

Michael is former YouTube product manager whose disillusionment with the online world inspired him to try noticing birds. Besides beautiful species he'd overlooked, Michael discovered that practicing awareness through birding is as powerful as any meditation or yoga practice. 5 years on, his walks and writing bridge the gap between the seemingly odd culture of avid birding and a growing audience of nature-hungry New Yorkers.

Objective

Usal & Nocs represent a culture of doers bound by their love for the outdoors. Given this, we decided to make a monocular that is perfect for any adventure far and wide.

In celebration of our collaborative MONOCULAR with Nocs, we're hosting three birding events across three different cities.

NOVEMBER 9 - LOS ANGELES
NOVEMBER 16 - SAN FRANCISCO
NOVEMBER 16 - NYC

We have partnered with three of our favorite birding collectives across America. In these walks, you'll learn birding techniques and gain the confidence to explore on your own, all while connecting with vibrant and welcoming community. Perfect for new birders, this workshop guarantees sightings of unique species you may have never seen before.

Through these experiences, participants will receive first access to the Usal & Nocs monocular, as well as entry into a raffle to win a pair for themselves (5 per event!).
